Trading conditions, broker by broker
Minimum deposit, leverage, spreads, and whether the broker allows scalping and EAs. Where a broker publishes nothing, I write that it publishes nothing rather than filling the cell in.
Getting in, and leverage
The minimum deposit is for the ordinary account. Low-commission accounts usually ask for more, and I note it alongside.
| Broker | Minimum deposit | Maximum leverage | Commission per lot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vantage | 50 USD | not published | RAW ECN 3.00 per side · 6.00 round turn |
| Exness | not published | 1:unlimited | Zero 0.20 per side · Raw Spread 3.50 per side |
| GTC | Standard: 50 USD on first deposit · ECN: 3,000 USD | Standard 1:2000 · ECN 1:500 | not published |
| VT Markets | 100 USD · Cent 50 USD | 1:1000 | Raw ECN 3.00 per side · 6.00 round turn |
| PU Prime | 50 USD · Cent 20 USD | 1:1000 | not published |
| Ultima | 50 USD | 1:2000 | not published |
| XM | 5 USD | 1:1000 | None charged — Ultra Low has no commission |
| HFM | 0 USD · Pro 100 USD | 1:2000 | Zero from 3.00 a lot |
| IC Markets | 0 USD | 1:500 · cTrader 1:1000 | Raw Spread 3.50 per side · cTrader 3.00 per 100,000 |
The commission column is what YOU PAY the broker, not what comes back to you — they run in opposite directions, so do not read one as the other. Tight-spread accounts charge commission; wide-spread accounts usually do not. Most brokers charge per side, meaning once on the way in and once on the way out, so double the figure shown here. GTC, PU Prime and Ultima Markets are left blank because their own pages disagree with each other or carry no figure at all — message me and I will ask the broker directly. On Vantage leverage: their global leverage page is broken and the page for changing it requires a login, so I left it empty rather than copy the 2000:1 from their South African site, which does not apply to an ordinary account. Exness states "unlimited" but with conditions on capital and order count — ask me before trusting that figure. IC Markets and HFM both state that leverage may be adjusted at any time.
Spreads
The first two columns are not comparable with each other. The middle one is the real figure for EURUSD; the right-hand one is the lowest the broker advertises across all products — usually on whichever pair is easiest, not the one you trade.
| Broker | EURUSD as published | Lowest advertised |
|---|---|---|
| Vantage | STP 1.4 · RAW 0.0 | — |
| Exness | not published | Standard 0.2 · Pro 0.1 · Zero and Raw 0.0 |
| GTC | not published | Standard 1.0 · ECN 0.0 |
| VT Markets | not published | STP 1.2 · RAW 0.0 |
| PU Prime | not published | Standard 1.3 · Prime and ECN 0.0 |
| Ultima | not published | Standard 1.0 · ECN 0.0 |
| XM | Standard 1.6 · Ultra Low 0.8 | — |
| HFM | not published | Pro 0.6 · Zero 0 on FX pairs · Cent 1.4 |
| IC Markets | averaging 0.1 on Raw Spread | Standard 0.8 · Raw 0.0 |
Gold spreads: only XM publishes them — Standard 4.0 and Ultra Low 2.4. The rest publish no gold spread at all, even though gold is what Vietnamese traders trade most. To know a broker's real gold spread you have to open an MT4 or MT5 terminal while the market is running and look — message me and I will take a screenshot, I hold an account at every one of them.
Scalping and EAs
This is the thing I am asked about most, and the thing brokers are vaguest about.
| Broker | Scalping | EAs | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| IC Markets | allowed | allowed | Their page states "any trading style", with no restriction on order distance |
| GTC | allowed | allowed | Standard says "no trading restrictions"; ECN names scalpers and EAs outright |
| Exness | allowed | allowed | The Pro account page says it serves scalpers and algorithmic traders |
| PU Prime | not published | allowed | The account table lists EA compatibility on all four types |
| Vantage | not published | allowed | EAs appear in the account feature list |
| VT Markets | not published | not published | The account page does not mention it |
| Ultima | not published | not published | The account page does not mention it |
| XM | not published | not published | No public trading-conditions page |
| HFM | not published | not published | The account page does not mention it |
"Not published" does not mean forbidden. It means the broker does not write it on a public page, and the real terms sit in the Client Agreement — a long PDF, usually carrying clauses against arbitrage trading and latency trading. No broker raises that on a public page. If you run a hedging EA or trade the news, do not trust this table — message me and I will ask a broker representative outright and get the answer in writing.
How this table was made
Read from the broker's own site
Not from review sites, not from memory, not by asking a salesperson. The broker's own account and pricing pages, on 26/09/2026.
If it is not there, it says so
Wherever a broker says nothing, the table reads "not published". That is useful information in itself: what a broker hides tells you something.
These figures will age
Brokers change their terms often, leverage and commission most of all. If a broker says something different from this table, believe the broker — and tell me so I can fix it.
Pick a broker for how you trade, not for the biggest rebate
A rebate only means something if the trading conditions suit you. Tell me what you trade, roughly how much, and whether you use an EA or trade by hand — I will tell you which broker fits, even when it pays less.
